A mother has successfully given birth to quadruplets in Ethiopia’s Guji Zone, bringing immense joy to her family and the hospital’s medical staff. The newborn babies consist of two boys and two girls, all of whom were delivered safely and without major complications.
The mother, Mrs. Adanech Tilahun, is a resident of the Dama district within the zone. Local officials have praised the Ethiopian medical team for their preparedness and successful management of this rare and high-risk pregnancy.

According to Ashenafi Danko, the Guji Zone communications head, the positive outcome was a result of proactive medical intervention. Mrs. Adanech had been admitted to the hospital a month prior to her delivery date, ensuring she received continuous and specialized prenatal monitoring.
Dr. Solomon Kebetamun, an obstetrics and gynecology specialist at the hospital, confirmed that the delivery took place successfully on June 10 at 9:00 AM. He noted that despite the complexities associated with multiple births, both the mother and all four infants are currently in stable and excellent health.
The hospital administration is continuing to provide comprehensive postnatal care, medical checkups, and material support to the family. The successful delivery is being celebrated as a major milestone for the maternal health department of Adola Wayu Hospital.
