What was said by  the Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia;

Pakistan has been harbouring people who are regarded as terrorists around the world. That is still the case.

Many Pakistani organisations and individuals have attacked India at different times, killing countless innocent people in the process. India responded to terrorist hideouts in Pakistan yesterday without harming innocent people.

We cannot stand by and let Pakistan deploy nuclear weapons against us; there will be retaliation.

India has always sought peace, but it will not put up with anyone who tries to take it away. We have put in a lot of effort and are now the fourth largest economy in the world, surpassing Japan.

We continue to put in a lot of effort and help the world and ourselves. And the world is helping us, too.

Ethiopia and India’s economic, military, scientific, and technological cooperation is expanding.

India and the UK successfully finalised a free trade agreement on May 6, 2025. These historic accords will enhance trade, investment, growth, job creation, and innovation in both nations while further solidifying the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

All of India’s export interests are covered by the FTA, which guarantees complete market access for goods in all industries. The removal of tariffs on nearly 100% of the trade value, or 99% of the tariff lines, will benefit India and present enormous prospects for growing bilateral trade between the UK and India.
