According to reports, a car carrying 11 people on its way from Ararti City to Addis Abeba collided in Lume District’s Gode Yohannes neighbourhood.
The accident occurred when a vehicle with the code number Oro 27600 collided with a parked vehicle while carrying people, according to a statement from Ararti City Mayor Ato Getachew Lema.
Around 5 :30 a.m., in the morning a public transport vehicle travelling to Adama collided with a stopped IVCO TRAKAR-ET 48435, according to Lume District Communications, which also made mention of the incident.
He asserted that two of the ten people who died in the accident were women. He noted that two other people suffered significant injuries, while one had minor ones.
According to Inspector Tekleye Tamru, the Lume District Traffic Safety Coordinator, the collision was brought on by speeding.
