Anil Kumar Rai, the Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia, was the main guest at the store’s grand opening yesterday at Wollo Sefer in Garad Mall.
The ambassador opened the store in front of invited singers, models, and staff from the Indian embassy.
Maranatha Teku founded the business with the goal of revolutionising the wedding industry by designing wedding gowns that combine classic elegance with modern flair. It includes well-liked weeding dresses from India, Africa, and the West for brides and grooms who must choose from three different styles.

Maranata claims that Tilosh Har has designed a collection that reflects the evolving preferences of today’s brides and grooms by providing options for both rental and purchase. Utilising the expertise of its sister company, Tilosh Deset, helps achieve this. She continued by saying that by offering a bridal dress that people would think they would obtain somewhere else, Tilosh will enable those who would otherwise have to fly overseas to get wedding dresses and accessories to save time and money.

“The newest styles are available at Tilosh Wedding collective’s brand-new wedding dress store for any soon-to-be bride who prides herself on being stylish, modern, and daring. We are adept at invigorating and readying our visitors for an unforgettable and exhilarating experience” . she added

According to Anil Kumar Rai, there are benefits for trade and intercultural exchange when Indian weeding costumes are introduced to the Ethiopian market. Ethiopia and India have a long history of bilateral collaboration in many areas, thus I’m happy to see an Indian wedding gown in a bridal shop. These stores would encourage cross-cultural exchanges between the two nations and raise awareness of Indian culture overseas.

Chelina Yeshiwondim, the brand ambassador for Tilosh Har, said, “I am incredibly honoured and excited to join Tilosh Har as their official brand ambassador.” This company is transforming wedding dress with flair, originality, and a strong commitment to achieving each couple’s vision. I’m thrilled to work with a business that embodies both traditional elegance and modern sophistication.

“We are exhibiting not only stunning Indian bridal gowns but also exquisite jewellery and embroidered clothing that are highly sought after in the city, making it the first of its kind in Addis Ababa. The Tilosh Har collection honours the diversity and beauty of Indian craftsmanship. By offering both retail and rental options, we ensure that every bride can find something that exactly suits her tastes.”
“It is both a privilege and a great pleasure. As we embark on this new journey, it is important to acknowledge the incredible cultural ties between Ethiopia and India, as they have been a significant source of inspiration. Today’s celebration intends to fortify ties between these two vibrant cultures in addition to opening a bridal shop. It gives me great pleasure to welcome His Excellency Shri Anil Kumar Rai, the Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia, and Madam Harshita Rai to this historic event. Your distinguished presence today provides us with the courage and moral support we need as we continue our mission.”She said .

Chelina expressed her gratitude to Shri Sanjeev Ranjan, the Second Secretary Consular at the Indian Embassy, for all of his help in helping them make the event a success in Addis Ababa .
Ruth Haile, CEO of Tilosh Har, stated, “We are passionate about helping each bride find a gown that feels authentic to her unique style, personality, and love story. Each wedding dress is a work of art that hangs gracefully on racks that are specially designed to showcase the exquisite details of satin, lace, and other stunning materials. Our bridal shop combines romance and modernity to create an infinite number of possibilities, offering a world of beauty at every glance.”
