Ethiopian Airlines and Temer Properties have officially signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at rewarding real estate investors with global travel opportunities. Under the new “Buy a House, Travel the World” initiative, customers who purchase residential apartments or commercial shops from Temer Properties will earn “ShebaMiles” in proportion to their investment. This allows buyers to accumulate miles that can be redeemed for flights across the airline’s vast international network.
The reward structure is tiered to provide greater benefits for higher upfront payments. According to the agreement, customers who pay less than 50% of the property value will earn 2.5 miles for every $1 spent. Meanwhile, those who commit to a down payment of 50% or more will be rewarded with 3.5 miles per $1. This system is intended to provide added value for both domestic buyers and members of the Ethiopian diaspora looking for secure investment opportunities.
This collaboration marks a significant shift in the Ethiopian real estate sector, which has traditionally focused on standard financing models. By integrating loyalty rewards from the national carrier, the partnership seeks to enhance the lifestyle of homeowners, turning a local investment into a gateway for international travel.
