As per the available information from informed sources, the security situation in South Asia continues to be tense and volatile with Pakistan exhibiting a repetitive pattern of provocations and military escalation in the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. In response, India has taken calibrated and precise counter measures.
As per reliable sources, on the night of 9-10 May 25, Pakistan targeted various military and civilian infrastructure along the International Border and Line of Control using Multi Threat Vectors including Unarmed Combat Aerial vehicles, Drones, Long Range Weapons, Loiter Munitions and Fighter Jets at more than 26 places in India.

Pakistan forces also resorted to intense firing across the border into the Indian territory with heavy caliber artillery guns and drones. It has been informed that the Indian forces promptly repulsed these attacks effectively, inflicting heavy damage to Pakistan military bases with limited civilian casualties. It has been ascertained from sources that besides repeatedly targeting a number of air bases and military installations in India, no damage could be done as most of such attacks were identified and neutralized thorough the advanced air defence system of India.
Meanwhile, credible media reports from India suggests that Pakistan had targeted multiple civilian infrastructure including medical healthcare centre and school in Jammu & Kashmir region resulting in civilian casualties. On the other hand to cover up its air space, Pakistan used movement of passenger airlines all across its sky so that India could not make aerial intrusions into Pakistan.

It has also been reported that the India’s response to Pakistan’s provocations has been largely successful owing to meticulous planning with measured and precise counter attacks targeted towards key military infrastructure like technical installations, command and control centres, radar sites and ammunition dumps using precision guided munitions ensuring minimum collateral damage.
As per the government sources, Pakistan has increased deployment of its forces on the forward bases along the border with India, which indicates high chances of future escalations and provocations. On the other hand India has re-emphasized that Pakistan must act responsibly and avoid any further escalation of the situation.
