The Tigray Region, which includes the South Tigrayan areas of Raya Azebo, Mekhoni City, Raya Alamata, and Ofla, has been experiencing a cholera outbreak for the past few days, according to the Interim Administration of Tigray.

It also stated that the temporary administration has admitted that the pandemic could make its citizens sick or even kill them.

The Tigray Region Temporary Administration Cabinet convened as usual today, Nov 2, 2023 . After a comprehensive analysis of the epidemic, the assembly determined that the disease ought to be made widely known to the people of Tigray.

Consequently, the cabinet decided to appoint Getachew Reda, the acting president, to lead a task force.

It has been reported that orders have been issued to all interim administration offices to focus on containing the outbreak.
