The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church will talk with the fathers in the Tigray region

Remember that the Permanent Synod’s delegation was chosen to continue the discourse with the Fathers in the Tigray Region through the Holy Synod Plenary Meeting of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church today.

Following this, the committee has been working on preparations based on a plan that will make it possible for the discussion to be held in a successful manner, and the interim administration of the Tigray region has submitted the request in a letter written by Bishop Zeaxum Wechige, the Modernist Church of Tigray, in order to facilitate the discussion’s successful conduct. His Holiness Abune Mathias I, the Ethiopian Patriarch, wrote the letter.

According to the report, the delegation members presented the letter that the Holy Patriarch had written to the president of the region’s interim administration while speaking with the appropriate regional officials about how the region’s interim government could support the discussion’s success.

As a result, it is specified in the request made to the state government that the conversation will happen at a time and place chosen by both parties.

As a result, the delegation of the Archdiocese will formally explain the steps they have taken thus far and how they intend to continue the conversation on Monday, June 5, 2015 in the afternoon.

The statement said that all changes made during the process will be made public by the media, allowing the matter to be finally resolved in accordance with the canonical church.
