According to a police department notification from the administration of Hawassa city, the young man, Samson Shenu ,suspected of kidnapping Melat Mohammad, who was recently abducted in Hawassa city, has been captured.
Yesterday around 11:30 pm, Melat Mohammad and the suspect Samson Shenu were discovered in hiding inside a house in the Arada sub-city. Police surveillance and information were used to enable them to make an arrest at that particular moment.
For a week, the police had been searching for the suspected kidnappers, and Melat and Samson’s photos from studios and parks had been making the rounds on social media.
