Temir Property and Ethiopian Airlines to Launch Exclusive ShebaMiles Partnership for Homebuyers

Temir Real Estate has announced its intention to sign a strategic partnership agreement with Ethiopian Airlines next week, aimed at integrating real estate investment with international travel benefits. Under the theme “Travel the World from Your Home,” the collaboration is designed to provide additional value to homebuyers by connecting property acquisitions with the airline’s renowned loyalty program, ShebaMiles.

The partnership introduces a structured incentive system where customers earn flight miles based on their property investment. According to the company’s preliminary framework, the number of miles awarded will be determined by the type of residential or commercial unit purchased and the amount of the initial down payment. This move marks a significant shift in marketing strategies within the Ethiopian real estate sector, blending lifestyle perks with high-value investments.

Financial details of the agreement specify that customers paying less than 50% of the total property value will earn 2.5 miles for every $1 paid. Conversely, those who settle 50% or more of the purchase price will be eligible for an increased rate of 3.5 miles per $1. This incentive structure is expected to encourage higher upfront payments while providing customers with a tangible return in the form of global travel opportunities.

Beyond simple mile accumulation, the program offers a pathway for customers to upgrade their ShebaMiles membership status. Frequent flyers and new members alike could see their status elevated from Blue to Silver or Gold, depending on the scale of their transaction. This feature is particularly targeted at the Ethiopian Diaspora, offering them enhanced travel benefits as they invest in the local property market, thereby strengthening the link between the diaspora and their home country.

Temir Real Estate, which has maintained a presence in the industry for the past decade, views this partnership as a tool to bolster its market competitiveness. Having previously conducted promotional activities in international hubs like Doha, Dubai, and Washington D.C., the company plans to expand its outreach to other major cities in Europe and North America. By aligning with Africa’s largest airline, the developer aims to streamline the investment process for international clients while rewarding local buyers.
