According to the Ministry of Water and Energy, a master plan already covers the construction activities for the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
Research has reportedly started for the construction projects surrounding the Renaissance Dam, which is on the verge of bursting, according to Dr. Engineer Habtamu Etefa, Minister of Water and Energy.
When the dam is built, he told , it will also serve as a tourist destination, thus a master plan is being made for it under the auspices of the government to draw in investors for development activities.
Additionally, it is asserted that it will increase tourism because it will simplify maritime transport.
The minister said that as there is an opportunity to carry out extensive fish farming in the area after the dam is built, study has been launched to develop the activities in these sectors based on research.
According to the Minister of Water and Energy, cooperation from all parties is required to finish the project.
A fourth filling of the dam is now being prepared.
