According to Balageru TV, Mr. Zemuy Teklu, who got the name of Shoa Dabo from a number of localities in Addis Abeba, passed away yesterday.
Zemuy from Eritrea founded ShowaDabo, a company that has been supplying bread to the people of Addis Abeba for 70 years.
One of Ato Zemuy’s five children and one of Addis Abeba’s most well-known cake stores, “Bilos Cake,” is owned by the father.
Belay Teklu, who founded a different cake store in the city, is the brother of Zemui Teklu, who was imprisoned for aiding rebels attempting to secede Eritrea under the Derg regime.
