The prominent Amhara’ s Prosperity Patry head passed away today afternoon , and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed expressed his condolences.
Girma and his bodyguards were apparently travelling from the Mehal Meda to Debre Birhan after conducting business with the government and corporations in the North Showa area, according to state media.
The prime minister posted this on his social media platform;
“Our brother Girma’s spirit has been taken by those who have failed to overcome ideas with ideas. It is the last resort of fanaticism to resort to violence to persuade others who hold opposing views in a century where peaceful resolution of differences is the rule.
In the area where he was born and grew up , the violent extremists who believed he shouldn’t have had differing beliefs from ours committed a dishonourable and awful act.

According to the Amhara National Regional Government, the attack by extremist forces to execute individuals who could not be overcome by intellectual struggle is a destructive act that cannot achieve its goal, is out of date, and has not redeemed the era. In a statement, the Amhara administration expressed its deep grief over the attack.
