Ethiopia will receive 60.5 million euros in humanitarian aid from the European Union

The Horn of Africa will receive 331 million euros in humanitarian aid from the EU, largely for food security, disaster preparedness, education, and the needs of displaced people and refugees, according to the EU office in Addis Ababa.

In 2023, the EU has earmarked roughly 60.5 million euros for humanitarian operations in Ethiopia.
According to reports, Ethiopia is home to 875 thousand refugees.

Ethiopia purportedly accepted refugees from a number of countries, including South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, and Eritrea.
It added that the union is working to offer further financial assistance.
