There are still options for peace.
The Emergency Proclamation’s implementation and guidelines have been explained by the Ministry of Government Communication Services.
The first round of the emergency declaration’s execution was finished on schedule, according to Minister of Government Communication Services Dr. Leges Tulu, who also noted that the cities that had been at war had started engaging in peaceful activities.
He noted that peaceful activity have resumed in Bahir Dar, Gondar, Debrebrhan, Debre Markos, Lalibela, and Showa Robit.
Additionally, he indicated that the law enforcement action will continue and that flights to the cities have begun.
He also stated that he will strive to rebuild the area’s damaged infrastructure. They claimed that the government continues to give the peace option top consideration.
According to reports, there are negotiations taking place at every level to find a solution.
The minister added that anyone with inquiries can submit them via the created national consultation commission and receive a response from the organisations they are elected to represent in the House of Representatives.
It was also disclosed that during the incident, suspects were taken into custody and interrogated.
So yet, just 23 people have been detained in connection with the investigation.
