The man who killed his 70-year-old mother by stabbing various parts of her body with a knife in the Sinana neighbourhood of Bale Zone at a place called Kabira, according to Bale Zone Deputy Director of Crime Investigation and Justice Enforcement Assistant Inspector Bilal Hasan, was given a life sentence.
Abdul Qadir Ahmed allegedly got into a battle with his birth mother, who asserted that she was to blame for the breakdown of his marriage because she had meddled in it several times.
After repeatedly stabbing and killing his mother, the suspect tried to escape by slicing his sister in the leg. According to information given to the police by the accused’s sister, the man was captured in Bale City.
He claimed to the authorities that his mother’s pressure had led to the separation of his second wife and his children’s mother, allowing him to execute his mother. According to Assistant Inspector, as a consequence of the trial that took place on April 27, the High Court of Bale Zone decided to sentence him to life in prison.
