Ethiopia has made it clear that it will not accept the Arab League’s position on the construction of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GRRD) and water filling, which was published yesterday.
It is well known that yesterday the league and the Ethiopian government both issued statements endorsing Egypt’s stance.
The relevant African countries should be in charge of supervising the water filling and building of the GRRD, the ministry stated.
Shoukry, who is in charge of the 159th meeting of the Arab League Council for Foreign Ministers, approved the decision to regularly include the GERD issue on the agenda yesterday.
