According to the African Wonders, “Atekano” measured more than 8 metres in length and 10 centimetres in depth.
According to Ashenafi Alem, Director of Africa Wonders, this traditional meal has been named one of Africa’s Wonders because of its length and distinctive flavour.
In return, the director granted the administration of Silete Zone the certificate of ownership and recognition.
He proposed trying to get “Atekano” on the menus of restaurants in other places.
The ancient and honourable dish “Atekano” has been passed down from the Silte forefathers from generation to generation, according to Ali Keder, the Chief Administrator of the Silte Zone.
According to Ali, the country’s traditional cuisine will have a chance to acquire appeal as a result of the food being identified as one of Africa’s wonders.
He stated that spreading awareness of the meal outside of the neighbourhood is expected.
